Towers of Freedom 9/11 Military Monument in Massapequa Closer to Completion

Massapequa- Chris Collora reports on the instillation of the 9/11 steel towers as part of the new Towers of Freedom Military Monument in Massapequa’s John Burns Park.
The towers of freedom military monument in John Burns Park in Massapequa is one step closer to completion after several workers and community members turned out recently to install the two huge steel towers made from real World Trade Center recovered metal, donated from Sims Steel. Sagtikos Manor Historical Society’s 50th Anniversary Gala

Bay Shore- Chris Collora reports on the Sagtikos Manor Historical Society’s 50th Anniversary Gala.The Sagtikos Manor Historical Society recently celebrated the organizations 50th anniversary on the Grounds of Sagtikos Manor, the oldest standing home in Bay Shore, built by Stephanus Van Cortland back to 1697. The organization has dedicated itself to preserving the historic home and showcasing its artifact collection. The event was a chance to show off newly discovered items in the house and celebrate the work they’ve done preserving a part of Long Island History. Sea Tow Foundation’s Life Jacket Loaner Station Program
